Events and sharing
Schedule gigs and shows, link a private Set List, and choose when to share an Event publicly.
Create an Event
An Event represents a gig, performance or show. Private rehearsal scheduling lives under Calendar as Practices.
- Open the Project, select Events and then + Create Event.
- Enter Event Name, Event Date, Start Time, End Time and Timezone.
- Add optional Details and an Event Picture. Check Visibility: Public is selected by default, or choose Private before selecting Create Event.
- Open the saved Event to edit it, choose its private Set List, manage the picture, or prepare sharing content.
Dates and timezones
Start Time and End Time have separate hour, minutes and AM/PM controls. New entries default to PM; enter an hour from 1 to 12 and minutes from 00 to 59. When editing, change just the segment you need; the other parts stay unchanged. Tab moves through hour, minutes and AM/PM.
Enter the date and times in the selected Timezone, and check that zone before saving. An end time earlier than the start time finishes the following day; the form shows the inferred end date.
When clocks move back and a time happens twice, choose the first or second occurrence. Times skipped when clocks move forward cannot be scheduled. Event details show the schedule and timezone so members and visitors can interpret it consistently.
Events has Upcoming, Past and All filters. An Event stays in Upcoming while it is still in progress; it moves to Past after its end time.
Edit details and pictures
Select Edit Event, update the form and select Save Event. Use the separate Event picture uploader to add, replace or remove a picture after creation.
A custom Event picture takes priority. Without one, the Event uses the Project’s current picture. If neither is available, it shows the LiveSceneMix fallback. Removing the custom picture restores that fallback order without changing the Project picture.
There is no separate venue or location selector in the current Event form. Put useful venue/address instructions in Details, remembering that published Details are public.
Choose the Set List for the gig
In the Event’s Set list panel, choose Set list for this event and select Save set list. Members can then select Open Set List or Stage View. Select No set list linked and save to remove the link.
Only active lists from this Project can be linked, one per Event. Multiple Events may use the same list. The link follows later saved list edits; use Copy in Set Lists first if each gig needs its own order.
If the linked Set List is archived later, the Event retains it with an Archived label. You can still open the list or Stage View, keep the current selection, replace it with an active list, or remove the link. Archived lists are not offered for new assignments and are never restored automatically.
This panel is private to Project members, even on a published Event. It is not shown on public Event pages, social images or public Project profiles.
Publish and share a public Event
New Events default to Public for every active Project member, with a Private option before saving. Duplicated Events and existing private Events stay private until an active member selects Publish Event. Publishing is separate from enabling the Project’s public profile; upcoming public Events appear on an enabled public Project profile.
The public page shows the Event name, Project name, schedule, timezone, picture and Details without requiring sign-in. It does not expose members, Messages, Polls, Songs, the linked Set List or member availability.
- Publish the Event, then select View public event to check what visitors see.
- Use Copy Link to copy its public URL, or Share Event to open supported device sharing. If device sharing is unavailable, use the copy or manual link controls.
- Paste the link wherever you want to announce the show. To make the page unavailable again, an active Project member can select Unpublish Event.
Download social artwork
Social artwork creates a promotional image for you to upload yourself. It does not post to a social network or schedule a post.
In Social artwork, choose Image size: Square (1080 × 1080) or Portrait (1080 × 1350). Select Generate Social Image to download a PNG.
Artwork uses the Event/Project picture fallback, Project name, Event name, schedule, timezone and LiveSceneMix branding. It does not include the Details text or private Set List. You can generate artwork for a private Event, but its public page will remain unavailable until published. Review the image before uploading it to your chosen platform.
Duplicate or archive an Event
Use Duplicate Event for another appearance with similar details. The copy’s name ends in - Copy, and it carries the original Details, dates, times, timezone and custom picture when present. It starts private with a new public URL and no linked Set List.
Open Edit Event on the copy to update the date and details, choose its Set List, and publish only when ready. Duplication is not an automatic recurring Event schedule.
An Owner or Admin can select Archive Event and Confirm Archive. The Event leaves the active Events list and Calendar, and its public link stops showing details. The Project and its picture remain unchanged.
