Set Lists
Build multiple named performance orders from your Song Catalog, then link the right Set List to each Event.
Expand your workspace
Use Expand set lists on the overview or Expand set list in the editor to hide the site header and navigation. Your draft and selections stay in place. Use Restore headers to bring navigation back.
Create a Set List
Active Project members can build and change Set Lists. Start with songs already saved in the Project’s Songs section.
- Open the Project and select Set Lists.
- In Create Set List, enter Name and an optional Description, then select Create Set List.
- The new list opens with Set 1, Set 2 and Other Songs. Rename or add sections to suit the performance.
- Select the catalog songs you want, choose a Section, and select Add selected songs (the button shows the number selected).
Choose several songs at once
Use Search songs to find a title or artist and Song status to narrow the results further. The picker shows Show Ready songs first, followed by Working On, Suggested and Dropped, with titles alphabetized within each status. Selected songs are appended in that displayed repertoire order, not the order you checked them.
Selections hidden by a search or status filter are still included when adding. Use Clear selection if you want to start again. An In set list label shows which sections already use a song; it does not prevent you adding that song again for a reprise.
If only some additions succeed, the remaining songs stay selected for retry. Check the success or error message before adding again.
Use multiple Set Lists
Create a separate named Set List for different gigs, shorter or longer shows, acoustic or full-band performances, venue-specific songs, or a backup order. They all draw from the same Project Song Catalog.
Use Copy on a Set List tile to create a separate list named with (Copy) appended. The description, section names and order, active song entries and entry notes are copied. Open the copy and use Rename to give it a useful name. Arranging the copy does not rearrange the original, but both reference the same catalog songs.
Organize sections
Use Rename beside a section, then Save. Use + Add Section, enter a name and select Save Section. Move section up and Move section down change the section order immediately.
Sections can represent sets, an encore or other parts of the show. Other Songs is a normal section: songs placed there are included in Stage View, print output and total song time. It is not an excluded reserve area.
Open a section’s actions menu to move, rename or remove it. Remove section opens a confirmation. Remove Section removes that section and its entries from this Set List; the catalog songs remain.
Arrange performance order
Make the order match the intended live performance. Reordering and section moves save immediately; there is no final Save Set List button.
- Drag a song by its dotted Reorder song handle to a new position within the section. On touch screens, drag the handle so the rest of the page can still scroll.
- Alternatively, open the song’s actions menu and select Move up or Move down. With the drag handle focused, Space or Enter starts a keyboard move; use arrow keys, then Space or Enter to save or Escape to cancel.
- To move between sections, open the song’s actions menu and choose Move to section. The song is appended to that section; reorder it there if needed.
- Wait for saving to finish. If reordering fails, the previous order is restored and an error is shown.
Link a Set List to an Event
Open an Event in this Project. In its Set list panel, choose Set list for this event and select Save set list. Each Event can link one active Set List from the same Project. The same list can be used for more than one Event.
Members can use Open Set List or Stage View from the Event. Choose No set list linked and save to remove the association. This link uses the current saved Set List, not a frozen copy: copy the list first if you need a different order for another gig.
The Set List stays private to Project members even when the Event is public. A copied or duplicated Event does not automatically acquire the original Event’s Set List link; choose it on the new Event.
Edit, print or perform
Tiles, the list total and each section show estimated song time, excluding breaks and transitions. Repeated entries count each time they are played, across every section. Missing lengths are identified; all missing lengths show Unknown. Time displays as minutes:seconds below an hour and hours:minutes:seconds from one hour onward, such as 59:59 and 1:01:00.
The normal Set List page is the editing view, with sections, song order and estimated duration. Print opens a white, ink-friendly numbered list with artist, key and tuning. Select Print / Save as PDF to use your browser’s print options. The printed document omits app navigation, controls and dark backgrounds, and uses the Set List name as its document title.
Stage View presents one current song and the next song, with an optional lyrics display. Prepare and save the order before entering Stage View.
When you open a Set List from an Event, the editor includes an Event return link. Exit in Stage View returns to that Event, including when you enter Stage View through the editor. Stage View opened from Set Lists returns to the editor.
Archive and restore Set Lists
Set Lists opens in Active. Use Active and Archived above the tiles to switch views. Owners and Admins can choose Archive Set List on a tile and confirm. Archiving keeps the same list, sections, entries, notes, order and Event associations; it does not delete anything.
Archived lists remain readable from Set Lists and past Events, including Stage View and Print. Editing is unavailable until an Owner or Admin chooses Restore Set List in Archived. Restore moves the same list back to Active without making a duplicate.
New Event assignments offer only active lists. If an Event already uses a list that becomes archived, its current selection remains visible as Archived. You can leave it unchanged, choose a different active list, or explicitly remove the link. Archiving never changes Event dates or publication.
An archived list still references the Project Song Catalog; it is not a frozen snapshot of catalog song details. The saved sections and entry order are retained.
Remove an entry or permanently delete a list
Use the remove button on a song entry to remove it only from this Set List. It does not delete the catalog song or remove it from other lists.
Owners and Admins can use Delete on an active or archived tile and confirm Delete Set List. This permanently removes the list, its sections and entries, and cannot be undone. Project Song Catalog songs remain.
A Set List attached to any Event cannot be permanently deleted. Archive it to preserve history, or first explicitly remove or replace its link in every associated Event. Delete never automatically detaches Events. Associations with archived Events also protect the list.
