Member search and public links

Signed-in members can find and view eligible Musician and Support Profiles even when public access is off. Search filters still determine which results match. Turning off public access alone does not hide your profile from signed-in members or remove it from saved profiles.

Enable visitor access in Visibility and contact for this profile, then save, to make the shareable profile URL readable without signing in. Each profile has its own setting. Turning it off prevents signed-out visitors from opening that profile.

Age range and gender in musician search

Musician search can filter by approximate age range and your existing gender selection. Both filters default to Any. Search result cards show the available age range and gender; these details do not appear on your shareable Musician Profile page.

Your birth date, birth year and exact age are never included in musician search results. Age ranges are calculated on the server using the current UTC calendar date and update as birthdays pass. February 29 birthdays advance on March 1 in non-leap years.

Without a birth date, your profile can appear with Any age but does not match a specific age range. An unprovided gender, including the existing Undefined choice, is omitted from cards and does not match a specific gender filter. Existing profile eligibility and other search filters still apply.

What makes a profile available?

Your account must be active, and the matching Play or Perform Music or Support Live Performances choice must be enabled in My Account. The profile must also be active and complete.

• Musician Profiles need at least one instrument or skill, a genre, years playing and a gigging preference. If you want to gig, choose a gig frequency too. A paused Musician Profile is unavailable to other viewers.
• Support Profiles need at least one currently available service selection.
• Disabling a profile’s account choice hides it from search and public viewing while keeping its details and media. Re-enabling the choice restores member access when the profile is eligible; public visitor access must be enabled again.
• Suspended, deletion-pending or deleted accounts are unavailable. Unavailable profiles do not appear in search.

Contact details have their own controls

Public access does not automatically publish contact methods or sign-in credentials. Each profile chooses which optional contact details to inherit, replace or hide. Shared email and phone are accessible only through the signed-in contact controls; shared Website, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube links can be public.
