LiveSceneMix

Unread message email notifications

Get a reminder when messages stay unread for about 10 minutes.

When reminders become eligible

Incoming direct and Project messages become eligible for a reminder after remaining unread for about 10 minutes. Delivery happens when the scheduled notification job next processes eligible messages, so this is a grace period, not an exact delivery deadline.

Only new message activity is considered; older activity is not backfilled. Your own messages, typing indicators, reactions and polls do not create unread-message email reminders.

Batching and repeat reminders

Eligible conversations are combined into a reminder, with up to 50 conversations per batch. Reminders have an account-wide cooldown of 6 hours and a maximum of 3 delivery attempts in a rolling 24 hours.

Messages already covered by a reminder are not repeatedly emailed just because they remain unread. New unread messages can become eligible for a later batch, subject to the grace period and account limits.

Which address and what information?

Delivery uses your verified account email. Your Musician or Support Profile contact email is not used. An active account, enabled notification preference, verified email and continuing access to the conversation are required.

Reminder emails contain conversation names, new-message counts and links to LiveSceneMix. They do not contain message text. Anyone with access to your email inbox may still see the conversation names and counts.

Reading messages and opting out

Messages are marked read when their conversation is visible and you are viewing its latest history. A hidden tab or scrolling through older history does not mark new messages read. Reading the latest messages clears their pending reminder eligibility; already sent emails cannot be recalled.

In My Account → Email notifications, uncheck Email me when LiveSceneMix messages remain unread and save. This affects email reminders, not in-app messages or unread indicators. You can turn reminders back on there.

LOCAL development suppresses delivery. Email also depends on delivery being enabled for the running environment.
